“The most rewarding thing about being part of DSM Venturing? Using my experience to help startups grow and prosper!”

Biggest passion outside work:

Luda likes to live with joy in all she does – whether it’s enjoying time with her family, experimenting with new recipes, exploring interesting places, or losing herself in a book!

Before joining DSM in 2016, Luda gained significant entrepreneurial experience as CEO and co-founder of three successful startups, and a seed investor in many others. Luda was also a Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore. In this role, she co-founded the Institute for Engineering Leadership, which nurtured over 28 startups that were using breakthrough technologies.

Before starting her own companies, Luda was CEO of a public company, Celerity Solutions Inc, which she grew six-fold in two years, and VP of General Electric where, among other roles, she restructured business processes to deliver a multi-million-dollar bottom-line impact.

Luda currently serves on the boards of Inkbit, Additive Manufacturing Technologies, QD Solar, WattGlass and NOMADD. She is also an observer on the boards of Chromatic 3D Materials and Leading Edge Equipment Technologies. In recent years, Luda has been a member of the board for Adaptive3D, which was acquired by Desktop Metal, Voxel8, which was acquired by Kornit, and Raycatch.

Luda is the author of a popular book, The Right Decision Every Time: How to Reach Clarity on Tough Decisions. Published by Prentice Hall, it focuses on CEO decision-making. She also holds a master’s degree from MIT’s Sloan School of Management as a Sloan Fellow, as well as a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Saint Petersburg University, Russia, where she also completed a Ph.D. thesis in Computer Science.
